I received a request from a friend to make a magical remedy that feels like fall. I've gathered up earthy leaves and pinecones, and fresh sweet apples.

Flame is what I call my fox friend from the forest. He's as bright as an autumn leaf, and at night his fur glows in the dark. So playful and mischievous, he's a silly sweetheart and I'm glad we're friends.

Since I saw my friend Dorothy with her crow friend, I've been curious to get to know these birds better. Some nuts and seeds out on my windowsill have encouraged a few to stop by, and I think I'm coming to appreciate them more.

Fall has come to Greenwood, and I welcomed the new season by sharing a spooky story with my friends at the Hallinox festival.

Every season I enjoy making things or gathering bits of nature to decorate the cottage. To me it feels magical.

The Long Night Lantern is one of my favorite traditions here in the kingdom of Olkaria. People tell stories by its light and put it in their windows to guide travels and scare away ghoulies.

Flame and I enjoyed reading a story in the forest, with breadcrumb trails and gingerbread cottages. It's one of my favorites in the fall.

I was surprised to come across these autumn flowers. That's a rare find for this time of year. It made these yellow ones feel like a hidden treasure.

I've been spending a lot of time with Flame in the forest, trying to gather the magical Impressions of the season. I love to sit, listen to the leaves, and take in the earthy aroma.

During this season of mist and shadows, seeing my new feathered friends in the forest feels delightfully spooky.

I got up early when all was dark and still and ventured into the forest. Now at first light, I've finished my latest painting:The Hollow Tree.

The warmth of the late autumn sun is golden. I took my tea outside to bask in the radiance.

I can never pick a favorite baked goods, so why choose one when you can have both?

Ancient places like Greenwood feel full of memories; time itself seems to cast a quiet spell. It was as if the old towering trees watched us as we wandered, and I wondered what past they had seen.

The Well of the Green Sister is very old, perhaps even ancient. The light looks golden as it pours in through the dusty windows, and I wish the stone walls could tell me their stories.

Memories are a precious thing. No matter how old I get, I want to keep making new memories and sharing them with others.

With Wysolice approaching, I've been preparing gifts for friends. Knitting by the fireplace is rather comforting, and goodness, I've made so many scarves already!

The fireplace is the heart of the cottage, especially during the cold months. Its bright flame gives warmth and cheer all winter long.

I've been decorating my cottage for the Feast of Wysolice, and the snowflake garland made a lovely centerpiece for my window.

Lorenz and I exchanged gifts; I gave him one of my scarves, and goodness, he surprised me with a beautiful new journal.

Sometimes I like to make a wish on the sunrise New Year's Day. This year I wished to help more people with my Impressional Magic.

Beside the frosted window, Flame and I sit and read a faery tale about a poor shoemaker and some helpful elves.

Lorenz stopped by and asked how I was enjoying the new journal he gave me. I must admit, I think it's wonderful.

A snowstorm passed through Greenwood last night, and left a winter wonderland in its wake. I almost wish Old Man Frost would always decorate my hair with ice crystals and sparkling leaves.

Some of my favorite memories from this season so far include Flame playing in the snow, making knitted gifts, and the sheet of ice at the Well of the Green Sister.

The Wonder Remedy I crafted for the baron worked in a rather unforseen way, but all the same, he was very pleased with it. He even gave me chocolate as a special way to show his gratitude!

It snowed again, a wet sleet. And as I took shelter under the branches of a large oak, I saw a bright green moss. The season is at that fascinating in-between, where it's still winter, but the mark of spring is all around.

A little painting of something sweet. Hot chocolate is a rare and fancy treat in my humble cottage indeed.

Lorenz surprised me by inviting me out for a walk in the forest together. We talked about winter and faery tales and made a promising discovery at the Well of the Green Sister.

While Lorenz and I were out for our walk, we saw the most beautiful winter sunset. The world turned pink and lavender and gold, like the sky was pouring out its paints upon the canvas of snow.

Try to find a little magic in every day, in the slowly swirling clouds or a butterflies wings. Life can be hard or fly by so fast. It's good to stop and enjoy those moments of wonder.

Tiny, white flowers in the soft, green grass turn their faces towards the sunrise. They know that spring is here.

In the misty morning, I see the little birds going to and fro, gathering bits for their nests and singing all the while. They remind me to keep a song in my heart.

My friends and I made a fascinating discovery at the Well of the Green Sister, and I shared some thoughts on creativity with Alexander. Sometimes it feels as difficult to grasp as the mist.

The day of the Spreenin Faire was full of lovely surprises, and one of them was a basket of pink roses... Who could they be from?

My latest commission is a surprise remedy for my friend Elise. Her husband Davy asked that I fill it with all the sweetness of spring, so today I went down to the river to gather Impressions of the wild flowers.

In the field beside my cottage, Flame and I play in the fresh spring grass. His boundless energy, mischievous nature, and sweet grin always fill me with such joy.

Lorenz, Alexander and I have been trying to open the stone door at the Well of the Green Sister. Lorenz brought the old key we found to the cottage with the hope that further examination might give us a clue. Looking it over again made me realize how beautiful old keys like this one really are.

Today, Lorenz helped me get the last Impression I needed for the remedy by taking me to the baron's garden. He really is such a good friend.

All spring long we have been trying to figure out how to open the beautifully ornate door we found at the Well of the Green Sister. It makes me wonder what awaits behind the sealed entrance.

I completed the secret remedy for Davy to give to Elise, and how fun it was to help make this romantic surprise a reality!

I may not ever know who these roses came from, but by painting them I can treasure the memory forever.

Pretty and pink as wildflowers, the Sweetness remedy feels like a spring dream.

Enjoying a meal under the leaves of Greenwood is always a delight, so I packed a sandwich into my basket for a forest luncheon.

I painted the giant honey hive that we found deep in the forest. It's larger than me, and I was astounded that tiny bees could have made it!

While I do prefer the wild beauty of the forest, I was charmed by all the lovely flowers and fragrances of the baron's garden. Walking there with Lorenz felt a bit like a dream.

When I think of all that the tiny bees are able to accomplish, I believe that nature is full of creativity.

Behind the great stone door, down the turning paths, we found the well of glowing magic. The ever-changing colors lit the trunk of the white-leaved oak, and for now we can only dream what the enchanted water might do!

As the spring turns to summer, I make a wish that all your days may be as sweet as wildflowers and honey.

I often run across hedgehogs when strolling in the forest. This chubby, little fellow's round face and cheeky grin made me smile.

While Flame lives in the forest, he often comes to visit me in the cottage. He’s such a silly sweetheart of a fox and my very dear friend.

This summer, there is something inside me that I don’t quite recognize. It makes me feel giddy, and nervous, and shy, and excited all at once. Maybe time in the forest will help me understand this strange new feeling better.

I adore the shifting light that comes pouring through the leaves of Greenwood. It always fills my heart with a feeling of home.

The forest breeze comes with a gentle whisper, and in my heart I begin to recognize all the new things I feel...

As I walk in the evening forest, I stop to admire the white wood anemones. I think they are enjoying the cool evening too.

Lorenz convinced me to join him for a dance at the Solmar bonfire. I’ve never joined a dance before! Oh how it made my heart leap!

I adore these days of sunshine, of blue skies, and forest breezes. Somehow, after joining Lorenz for a dance on Solmar night… well, it’s like the world feels a little bit brighter.

On Solmar, Lorenz also lent me a book from his childhood: a collection of stories and myths about the legendary unicorn. It feels so special to be able to share in this precious book from his past.

Lorenz stopped by to see how I was enjoying the book. I was fascinated with all the legends of the unicorn, especially with how it was said that its horn could enchant pools of water.

We’ve been doing experiments with the water from the Well of the Green Sister. It made this tiger lily glow like the dancing fireflies at night.

Lorenz and I gaze out upon the twilight forest. Home to beautiful creatures like the wild unicorn. This is truly a place of untamed magic.

I showed Lorenz the painting of the unicorn we met. It still gives me a thrill to recall the beauty of that moment: the creatures golden hooves and horn, its silvery mane and swishing tail, the way it walked upon the water… and how Lorenz held my hand as we watched it together.

I stopped to gather some wild flowers from the edge of the forest. Their dreamy colors feel like something from a fantasy.

Lorenz and I have been companions in exploring the forest and very good friends, but in my heart I begin to feel something more.

I use the magic mirror I found on the edge of the forest to communicate with your world, dear reader. It is small and fits in the palm of my hand. But the mirror Lorenz and I discovered at the Well of the Green Sister is enormous, goodness, and in it we saw another green person... like me.

It took me the whole of summer to understand my own heart. I feel so shy and nervous to admit it, but I think I have feelings for Lorenz. It’s all so strange and new, but it feels utterly enchanting.

I gathered up all my feelings for Lorenz and turned them into a secret remedy: Enchantment. Once finished I simply had to turn it into a painting, for it glows with such a shimmering magic as I have never known before.
